This Is 42
It’s said that the body completely replaces itself every seven years. While I don’t know how accurate this is, I am fully aware that with every year my perspective of the world changes. Seven years ago, I was living in a completely different state, my children were still trying to figure out the things that make them who they are, I was about 50 pounds heavier and I’d only been running this magazine for a little under a year. Today, I am actually happy to be a year older and glad to have enjoyed my life to this point but am ready to begin this new chapter.
I’ve always felt that birthdays are akin to our personal New Year. I come up with a collection of goals I hope to accomplish, I have a big celebration with my family and friends and it’s just as hard to get use to! And just like every year, I’m prepared to face the challenges of my day-to-day life that comes with a multitude of situations that are bound to arise. However, I’m also thrilled to have the opportunity to confront them because after every one, I become stronger. As for the magazine, I’m going to make it the best year yet!
