Detox, Anti-Inflammatory, Enhances Immunity, and Soothes Digestion

Ingredients

  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 4-5 inches (5-6 tablespoons) fresh organic turmeric root, sliced
  • 4-5 inches fresh organic ginger root, sliced
  • 2 cups lemongrass stalks and leaves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2-3 tablespoons organic raw honey[/column]4 cups filtered water
  • 4-5 inches (5-6 tablespoons) fresh organic turmeric root, sliced
  • 4-5 inches fresh organic ginger root, sliced
  • 2 cups lemongrass stalks and leaves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2-3 tablespoons organic raw honey

Preparation

Step 1

  1. In a teapot, bring water to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Add lemongrass, reduce heat to low, and simmer 5-10 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat, cover teapot with the lid, and reserve for 10 minutes.

Step 2

  1. Strain the tea into a blender.
  2. Add turmeric, ginger, and black pepper. Pulse 1-2 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture.
  4. Place tonic in a mason jar, add honey, and refrigerate.
  5. Dilute if too strong, and add fresh lemon juice and ice, if desired.

Drink 1/2 cup, 2-3 times a day.

Keeps for a week while refrigerated.
